Originally from Northwest Arkansas, Esther Gowin joined NWA Ballet Theatre in 2017. She performed in a range of classical and contemporary repertoire with the company such as Nutcracker, Cinderella, Ryan Jolicoeur-Nye’s Immortal Beloved: Possessed By Genius, and Stephanie Martinez’s Otra Vez, Otra Vez, Otra Vez. 

In 2022, Esther began freelancing for dance organizations in Arkansas, where she performed as a returning guest artist in productions such as Ozark Ballet Theater's Firebird, Nutcracker, Snow White, and Swan Lake.

In 2023, Esther joined Canyon Concert Ballet in Northern Colorado. She performed various soloist and corps de ballet roles in classical and contemporary repertoire such as Michael Pappalardo's Dracula, Nutcracker, Romeo & Juliet, Giselle, Swan Lake, Rite of Spring, Winterisse, and Val Caniparoli's Swipe.

Esther recently relocated to Seattle, Washington in 2026 and is excited to dance with Dance Theatre Seattle in their upcoming season.
